Students launch crowdfunding to fund scholarships and research for student entrepreneurs

A student entrepreneurship program in Pennsylvania is using a new crowdfunding platform to help fund scholarships for its students and encourage them to pursue their passions.

The students are creating a crowdfunding campaign on the website GoFundMe to help pay for tuition, textbooks, and other costs associated with their education, the Associated Press reported Thursday.

The crowdfunding site has raised more than $100,000 in three weeks.

The new campaign is called Students for Entrepreneurship Scholarship Fund.

It is aimed at students who want to start their own business, but don’t have a way to invest in the stock market, the AP said.

They also want to get into entrepreneurship because they want to make their own contributions to the economy.
